No kidding, that line is always so long. But, when did McDonald's stop calling them customers and start calling them clients? Smart move, either way.
I enjoyed this post immensely. Everybody--everybody--here, has "clients".
I hope all of the big oil companies have a record year for profits too. It's worth it to me to pay $4 gal for gas to help it come true.
I enjoyed this post immensely as well. As someone in the chemical/nuclear engineering industry, my clients always gripe and complain about corporate greed when big bad oil makes $10 billion in profit in a quarter, but when Apple does it everyone sings their praises as their money goes right into Steve Jobs's bank account and talks about how great it is that the money they've worked for sits somewhere cross-country in the form of numbers on paper.
What I do know though, is that the Apple computers I've had have been the most unreliable machines I've ever used, and that stock is going to be hit hard sooner or later when Steve checks out. Given his high visibility, that stock will go down quite a bit when he dies, and the double-edge to that sword is that given his high visibility, it may have trouble recovering in the wake.
Apple also hasn't made a decent iPod since the 5G nano. Apple doesn't care about the iPod, that's certainly clear with a 17% decline YoY...I noticed nobody's talking about that in this thread. Their last iPod nano was nothing but a travesty, I'd hardly call that "innovating". Stuck at 16 GB for the last three years is pathetic, too.

Sorry let me clarify, I'm @ BB in SLC. There is just me here, well my chair and me. At 4PM they give you a ticket so you don't have to wait in line for the last hour. So stupid.
Did they confirm to you that they will have all models for sure?

How are the samples of Komplete 7?
Or should I perhaps try something like VSL or East West?

Finally the last time i switched i did a search to see which companies had the least complaints. Although the billing practices overall in the industry
are atrocious, i've had the best experience overall with my current carrier.
This trumps any pleasure i would get from having a phone that integrates
well with my macs.
Sorry, I gotta ask though...

Updated mine last night. Not had a chance to fire it up and see the changes for real yet. Only two hours until the weekend though :)

I think once an internal SSD drive of 500GB capacity can be had for $150, the air will be the top mac laptop.

OK then, a little advice.
What would be a good looking way to get an ad out to clients....
Just something quick. I don't want anything fancy or interactive, just something I can fire off in an email....

I use FaceTime every other night to speak with my daughter.
Same here brother.
I travel quite often so it's a great thing.

How many people are there now?
More are staying the night than did the first night.

@Munkees, do I understand correctly that you now make use of Aperture to manage "referenced" files: importing iPhoto's existing folders and/or albums?
Then, how do you organize your hierarchy: years (1999, ...) as a 'project', events like travels as a 'folder', a country (for example "USA") as an 'album', and a specific visit ("Yosemite", "Grand Canyon North rim", "Grand Canyon South rim") as a 'sub folder' or 'sub album')?
I really never have been one for organizing by year, but rather by places / events.
I did not import form iPhoto, I exported my pictures, then brought them into Aperture.
I now have all my photos kept in their own folders on the HD, and when they get imported into Aperture, I have the preference do not copy files. I will not have nested folders, i want to be able to find my images quickly on the HD, even though this is not that important.
example visit to Yosemite will be in a folder on the HD (in the pictures folder) called "Yosemite". If I got back and take more photos, I will just add them to the same folder, unless there are some good reason to separate them.

If I'm not mistaken, error 1013 just means that you changed your host file...

I would save your money and go with option 'B' that is, upgrade your RAM and get an SSD.

I'm looking to setup an external hard drive with my airport extreme.
Plan to use it for:
Time machine backups
Air drive
I'm looking for about 500GB to 1TB. Ideally, the drive will be setup near my TV, so it is important that it is quiet. Any suggestions for an external drive?
Order of importance:
1. Quiet
2. Size (500GB+)
3. Price
4. Looks
I did search, but surprisingly did not find many relevant posts. If you are aware of any, please link to them. Thanks!

$400-500

The Airport card is great. The CD-ROM isn't.
Ya, $400-500 seems to be a fair value for the iBook G3 in question.

I wonder how these companies got access to Apple's database. Why doesn't Apple keep better watch on it? And couldn't Apple just find out who's been accessing the database, and not allow connections from that source anymore? This all seems shady to me.
I imagine the process goes through a carrier outside of the US because many countries and carriers offer unlocks for their iPhone customers.

I think im the only person who thinks that a peice of equipment the size of a deck of cards that holds over 15k songs is NOT too big??? I have a 40G pod and I wouldn't want it any smaller...If I needed a pod with more storage I would buy a 60G in a heart beat
You posted just as I was finishing off my post. Just wanted to agree with what you said. I've got a 2G 20gb model (nearly full) and if it wasn't for the fact that I'm saving up for an iBook I'd have bought one already.
