It works on my iPad 2. It shows the Netflix red screen on my iPad and then the stream on my TV with the audio coming from my TV. I don't have to do anything special aside from plug the cables in and we're good to go. I don't have any additional display apps on my iPad.

In the input, there's a "Line In" option. Thats all. And for the terminal, the only thing running with the highest %of usage was the 'TOP'. At 6%CPU. Everyhthing else was 0.something.

Well I am using it on my iBook (localhost) and it works great. When I tried to connect to the Windows machine at work I got the same error. I hope that they get this figured out. I really like it and would love a functional OS X version.

Download Dropbox... done.
Keep it simple to set up, it's free and works perfectly. I use it to work on docs from home, work, my laptop and my iPad.
Pay a little and get a lot more server space.
What he said
Dropbox rocks and the first 2GB are free with up to 5GB thru their referral program.
It basically sets up a folder with subfolders to sync to the cloud.
I went back to school last year and used dropbox everyday to sync files between my MacBook and Mac mini.
If I edit a word or excel file in class on my MacBook, dropbox automatically uploads the changes to the cloud. My Mac mini is running 24/7 and downloads the new edited version 10 seconds later 10 miles away from campus.
I set up my folders with their relative files in each, such as finance, accounting etc.
Sitting in class, I download my PDFs and power points from the schools server to my MacBook which instantly syncs to my home computer, works cross platform from your MacBook to your PC.
If you are all Mac, you can buy MobileMe. With the time capsule, and Back to My Mac, you can easily log into and control your home computer, such as reloading your handbrake or torrent queue. In Have both and find dropbox much better. I also have it on my iPhone and iPad.
Dropbox is what the MobileMe iDisk was meant to be, but much better and free.

showed up at 8. not many in line. the one lady in the orange said that I couldn't get it because I wasn't the primary account name (even though the primary doesn't even use AT&T, it's my dad and he just gets the bill), so I called AT&T and they told apple that they had to sell me one because I am authorized on the account. Everything else went smoothly. I thought that the Starbucks Coffee and water were nice touches for those who had to wait forever outside. I ended up waiting about 1 hr which I didn't think was terrible.
however, I was angered at the fact that I brought my apple in-ear headphones in to get replaced because they stopped working after day 4 of having them (I didn't damage them) and they said, "we don't care about that right now...you'll have to come back after tomorrow." I understand that they are busy, but A) they sold me a faulty product that I want replaced B) I'm a valuable customer C) It's a huge inconvenience for me to return to Easton to take care of it.

I was after the CoolerMaster Q Aluminium keyboard that toezter has, but it seems to be discontinued.
After a trip to my local evil PC World though (do they ever get any better?!?) I saw a fully brushed aluminium, PB type (but full) keyboard. Looks very, very nice. Pricey at 50, and is USB not wireless. But the major downer is the logo on the keyboard right above the function keys in the centre.....

This. It's so nice to be able to turn on and off bluetooth with just a swipe of the status bar. I also like seeing how much memory is free.

The iPhone 4 was a failure at launch. The antenna is broken. It drops Internet connections and calls if held a certain. The glass claiming to be strong is weak sauce and the only good things on the phone are the cameras and screen.*
Am I the only one who feels this way?
Have you had trouble with your claws scratching the glass?

The late 2008 models run with Core 2 Duos, right? I don't think Core 2 Duos use DD3. They use DDR2, which would mean that you wouldn't be able to use it in your old MBP. Just look under "About this Mac" and it should say what memory it uses.
Later C2D's used DDR3

Anybody know if woodland hills has good wi-fi in the mall?
All Apple stores have free WiFi for customer use and it usually works out in the mall area around the store.

And to quote Phoney from a previous thread:
retainCount is often not useful for debugging memory leaks. There are too many objects that work behind the scenes that retain objects and there are also cases where an object is both retained and autoreleased to control the lifetime of the object. It's difficult or impossible to understand all these cases because you don't see all the code.
What you should do is learn the memory management rules. Then use them correctly. Then use build and analyze and the leaks tool to find problems.

I apologize if I may have violated the rules with regard to asking a question about selling an item, it's not may intention to come here to pawn something off.
As for my friend, we have known each other since kindergarten (now in our 30s) and I originally offered to give it to him for free but he insisted on paying a fair-market price.
I wouldn't sell it to a friend. Help him find a seller instead.

Pages is perfectly fine for word processing, which I know from experience as I been using it for that purpose every day for nearly two years. Most of the people who say otherwise either haven't learned to use it or would have preferred that Apple produce a Word clone. Some of are very happy that they did not go that route.

reebzor: Given that I can't have wiring running around to the speakers (that need to be on opposite ends of the room), unfortunately this won't work.
waw74: It sounds like airplay speakers would be the best bet for ease of setup (in theory). The ihome option looks really nice - what a bummer they aren't available yet. Looks like the only AirPlay speaker available now is the Zeppelin Air ($600 apiece, so $1200 for a pair...wow). I'm a bit confused why it has a dock though, since it seems the reason for buying one would be to use airplay, but maybe I am missing the point.
Sounds like Airport Express would be the least expensive option. I didn't know I can make an Express a "base" without having internet access. So to make sure i understand ... I would buy 2 Airport Expresses. I would connect my MBP to one AirPort Express (no internet connection needed), and then have the AirPort Express create a wireless network, which I could then connect the second AirPort Express to using my MBP. The just plug speakers in the Expresses on opposite sides of the room, and I'll be good to go, correct?
Thanks-

1) HTML is not coding. It's not close to it at all. You will need to learn to program.
2) The GUI design tools are just that: layout tools only. You will have to write significant amounts of code to do what you want. You will need to be competent in Objective-C and learn your way around the CocoaTouch framworks
3) If you don't pay after a year your application gets removed from the store.
